I first apprenticed as a ring steward in 1972 with the Port Alberni Valley Kennel Club. I was with the Junior Kennel
Club and hence a volunteer for 8 hours a day for 3 days plus set up and take down.
I love ring stewarding and enjoy watching the brand new novice enter the ring and make their way to their first
champion. The other end is learning more about the breeds every time I am in the ring.
I have several clubs that I ring steward for and was a member of the Red Deer & District Kennel Club for over 2 decades,Calgary
Kennel & Obedience Club and the Toy Dog Club of Alberta.
I have had the pleasure of stewarding for my home clubs as well as NACA,EKC,specialties, that have included
Great Danes, American Cocker Spaniels,Newfoundlands,Southern Alberta Toy Dog Fanciers,Toy Dog Club of Alberta, Bernese Mountain
Dog,Shiba Inu, Kerry Blue Terriers,Afghan Hound, German Short Haired Pointers.
I have also really enjoyed the times that I have stewarded in Montana and Idaho
If you need the expertise of a 'super' steward, that's my nickname from my devoted fans(smile), I am more than happy
to accomodate if I have free time.(smile)
